Periodic creation of backup copies and safety measures aimed at alleviating consequences of server failures.
Qguar Standby Server is a solution that can considerably increase data security compared to many traditional methods of creating backup copies. Based on the Oracle Archivelog mechanism, SBS is able to periodically create a backup copy of the central database of the Oracle system on an additional, dedicated computer. During system functioning, each operation
performed in the main database is reflected in the backup server database. Thus, in case of failure, the user has recent data at his/her disposal, and the computer that supports the standby server can take over functions of the central server while it undergoes repair procedures. The possibility to quickly switch to the standby computer as the main server results in a high business operations continuity coefficient.
